Me, I'm sick of conservatives telling me how to do everything. Apparently "they" don't like to receive the same treatment. GOOD JOB CARRIE!!!
If she things your views are "at the ends of the political spectrum", she's living in a very interesting bubble... but then, people like her always are. Good riddance. Personally, I enjoy all your posts, the reviews, updates and yes, the political ones, too. Best wishes! :)
Well! After seeing that comment, I am doubly determined to do a re-read of all of your work that I have, and make sure I have you on my Hugo nominations list. Hopingfor more stories in the Bannerless world.
LOL Go Carrie! More of all your stories, please. Maybe a novel-length kids of Robin Hood story some day?
Yeah Felicia aka Jill, Carrie/we really didn’t need the dramatic goodbye. Your presence won’t be missed, in fact, it might be celebrated.
Good for you, Carrie! I just read the Heirs of Locksley...so fun! Love those 2 novellas. All your work is fabulous & your politics aren't your writing! That's just good stories & enjoyable escapism!!! 😀
If you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all, is usually wise advice. I have just read and enjoyed your short story The Voyage of the Brenya, which I feel is the highlight of the forthcoming anthology "Los Worlds and Mythological Kingdoms"
I am a conservative and I love Carrie. She's a warm person and represents herself beautifully. I am proud to be able to at least call her an acquaintance if not at least a casual friend!
To poster: A question would be something like, "What is political about the books, which books?"
I don't know what that was about. I just started reading the Kitty books.
Artists, including authors, have a right to their beliefs. Don't read it, if you don't like it. I love Anne Rice but knew better than to read some of her more religious books. I knew they were unlikely to be my cup of tea.
I wouldn't have picked the Kitty books up if Brandon Sanderson hadn't suggested them as a good example of 1st person writing. Which brings up an actual question. What made you decide to write in the 1st person? It's a less common choice.

... you literally just said that you were unhappy about an armed insurrection that happened last week. That doesn't sound particularly controversial to me. Anyway, I join Cynthia in hoping for more Bannerless stories!
