Not the person who asked but ohhh, I am so glad to hear this!! The Hands of the Emperor is the best book I've read in years -- and it's likely my favorite book of all time. I just finished my first read last night and I think I might actually re-read it immediately, though part of me wants to read all the others now too (and your other books, of course!). I was so sad when the back matter stated that THOTE was a standalone (I told my husband there was disappointed screaming in my head) but when I came to Goodreads to write a 5-star review, I found there were more stories so I'm overjoyed.

Not only is THOTE one of my favorite books of all time, Cliopher is one of my favorite protagonists. So stoked to hear you're working on a sequel. Thank you for bringing so much delight to the world.
