Thank so much for your answer!!! It must be so much fun to be able to combine many of your passions (cooking, history, writing, traveling, etc.) for your work. The more I think about it, writing a novel seems like it must be quite like cooking a delicious meal: you pick the best ingredients, combine them with care, cook it all up, et viola!!
