Jason Hillenburg No wonder you feel such a pull to Macdonald's novels, besides their obvious artistic merit.

Neil Albert Jason--Thanks for your comment. I agree completely. It's funny that I was drawn to Macdonald many years before I knew about my own story. There was a part of me that thought these people couldn't be my parents, but that was when I was young and I overthought it and decided that a lot of teenagers feel that way. Turns out I was on to something.

Jason Hillenburg I am adopted myself, though not trafficked, so I relate.

Neil Albert Jason--I don't know any other trafficked people, so I just lump myself in with the adopteds. I have found that some are fascinated to search for their biological parents and some couldn't care less. If seems to correlate roughly with how closely they bonded with their adoptive families. Mine was a hot mess so once I discovered there was something else out there I was motivated to learn what I could.
