Thanks Peter. That makes total sense. I've had fire alarms do that in the past (intermittent beeping) and have had to disable them until I could get them fixed. Lucky for me there wasn't an alien invasion happening at the same time.

I've been buying the Kindle version of your books on Amazon and have been trying to spread the word about your work and supporting independent authors. I can only imagine how tough it is to make a go of it in the publishing world.

One thing I really appreciate about your books is that you create fantastical situations and then use those situations to look at human behaviours in a different light. To me this is what sci-fi and speculative fiction is all about. Old timey Star Trek did this well in a lot of cases. (I really liked "Let That Be Your Last Battlefield" with Frank Gorshin)

In this two book series I really like the way you've used Angry Andy to explore the concepts of populism and disinformation.
