I am having difficulty finding a point of view to write my book in. I tried first person, but that only has one characters view. Then I thought about third person omniscient, but that I was told that is "head hopping"
Yes, if you try to do it kind of "all at once" it's head-hopping. What I do is go chapter by chapter, switching back and forth. And I label them clearly. You can do that in either first or third person. But if you do it in first person it's a challenge making the two voices sound different.
