Since all that I ask have been answered, let me ask...will the phoenix be ginger haired? Could he be please?
I think the juxtaposition of mythical creature shifters in a modern day/real world setting would be awesome and far more fun than in a fantasy setting.
I'm weird, I dislike the whole werewolf thing (and were-leopard etc) but I like shifters that are different from usual like this idea of a unicorn and the dragons. I'm trying to think of other ideas that might work and all I've got at the moment is Pegasus & Gryphons lol :) Maybe a pairing that are polar opposites, since unicorns are known for their purity something like a vampire?
So now I'm going to go and get lost in looking through lists of mythical animals lol.
I wish I could create more hours in the day and send you more spoons so you could write all the wonderful ideas in your head.
A ginger Phoenix would make a lot of sense. Off the top of my head, I can only think of one ginger guy I've written so far. Never realised they were so under representated!
I think modern could be the way to go too. I got asked about writing a merman story a week or two ago. That could be work, although I guess he'd be a half shifter?
I admit I have a huge soft spot for werewolves. Were lions were fun to write too :D
All donations of time and/or energy gratefully received, although I think you need all of both you can get for yourself. *Hugs*
A merman? This continues to get better. I always feel ginger MC's are far and in between. But a ginger phoenix would be grand! :D
I keep thinking I must have written other ginger characters, but Floyd from Learning the Ropes is the only one I can bring to mind :-/

I do hope your idea turns into a book. I'll be first in line.
