I was thinking about the alien's home world and the prime intelligence, rather than an extension to the existing story.
I'd certainly pay to read a book from Meridian's POV. I can imagine it would be hard to write and maybe even harder to read -- the events in its mind would be going so much faster than what we might be able to comprehend...
