Eddie Casement Tom, thank you for answering! Was thinking about your books last night, and reading through some of the criticisms in various reviews.. came to the conclusion that many people nowadays just don't like difficult, whether it be books or films.. light entertainment seems to rule the day.. super hero movie or whatever. (Much as I have enjoyed some of them) Anyway I shall look out for your latest offerings and actually like the sound of a book with no humans, I sincerely hope it sees the light of day, was it Ursula le Gunn who wrote a few stories with no humans?

Michael Not to add any pressure, but I adored the Amaranthine Spectrum just like Eddie, so I was wondering if that standalone SF book you mentioned is still in the works. It would be an instant buy from me.

Tom Toner Thanks Eddie and Michael, sorry for the slow reply - didn't see these messages. Well, it turns out the ridiculous space opera with no human characters wasn't so unpublishable after all, so you'll have something new from me in 2025! I'm currently re-re-re editing the other new standalone SF too so that it'll be ready for submission very soon.

Michael That's great news! Looking forward to both projects. Hey, if Iain Banks can make the main viewpoint of "Excession" be AI Minds, and Adrian Tchaikovsky uses spiders, I'm certainly open to a story without human characters.
