I've read lots of Victoria's posts and blogs and a lot of people bring up this topic which is why she answered with that. Silver women have silver blood during their period and red women have red blood.

Actually....we can't just not worry about it. Because remember how the whole "Mare is actually silver but was raised by reds and only discovered her lineage recently" story was put in place? Well unless the silvers were idiots, they must have questioned why she wouldn't have noticed that HER PERIOD IS FREAKING SILVER until that point?!
Think back in the book to where they had already tricked the silvers into thinking she was one of them. I believe her attendants would have already know she wasn't a silver so this wouldn't be a problem.
Well, but it is an important thing - given that they claim she never knew she had silver blood till the day of Queenstrial. If she had had a period, she would've known for sure. So it's no little detail :D
Maybe in this world they don't get periods. Best world EVER.
