Adrian Chris, Many thanks for your response, that now makes sense. I'm not on facebook, but I'll keep an eye on you here and Amazon. I have an urge this year to re-discover Baroom, and other related Burrough's adventures.

Chris Adams That's awesome, Adrian. ERB Inc is re-releasing all of the original ERB in what they call their "Authorized Library", each will have a Joe Jusko cover and frontispiece. This will be a first-ever once completed. So far, Joe has completed the Tarzan series, and is now working on the first Barsoom novel, A Princess of Mars. It's a beauty even in its early days.

Besides the Authorized Library, they have Wild Adventures series I mentioned, and also the Edgar Rice Burroughs Universe Series (ERBU). These are all new works by living authors writing continuations of ERB's worlds. The ERBU series is circularly linked, so they technically could be read in any order. I am currently reading the 3rd release in this series, titled John Carter: Gods of the Forgotten by Geary Gravel. It is a younger series than Wild Adventures, is also written by multiple authors as with the Wild Adventures Series, but all writing basically one story told from the various points of view of the main characters. It's a fun series.

I think it's fantastic they're putting so much investment into continuing ERB's legacy, both in re-releasing the entire ERB library with new forwards, bonus content and artwork, but also propagating the reach of ERB via new adventures. I myself have always enjoyed pastiche works of favorite authors as otherwise, after you've finished their entire bibliography, your only recourse is to begin rereading what you have already read one or more times.

This John Carter is a blast, I think you'd like it. I can't post a link here in this reply as Goodreads won't allow it, but do a web search for "Edgar Rice Burroughs Universe" and you will find it.
