one of my favorites in your fairy tale retelling series - second only to Merchant's Daughter!! :)
Melanie, most fairy tales are steeped in plenty of magic. Your stories have a fairy tale feel without all the bippity, boppity, boop. Do you have a particular approach on how to translate the 'magic' into a real life event or character in your story, or do you simply have an inspiration?
