How hard is satire. I wrote a skit around the election recently for a local talent night. Looked okay on paper but quite twee when performed.
It's trickier than it looks. Satire repeats the same observations all the time (politician is weak/mad/power crazed/randy). The trick is to find a new way to present very unoriginal observations. Frame the idea in a fun way that captures the imagination.
Thanks Nev. I found that in wanting to undermine the UKIP voice I sort of played into a stereotype trap.
