Thanks for the detailed reply. I can tell from your answers that you feel passionate about both cities, but especially Edinburgh!
I come from the Wigan area originally and moved to Scotland 8 years ago, so I feel an affinity with both places -hence the questions.
I still have your books on my 'to read' list as I've only just discovered you. Looking forward to reading them !
