I think that all writers struggle with the invasive nature of brand marketing. So far I've found the process to be a long term lesson in humility. I've also learned that there are a ton of amazing, generous, kind, and savvy readers, reviewers, and authors in the world that I'm pleased to have stumbled across. Those experiences more than outweigh the negative.
