Suzy Davies Thank you! I think the mind is more powerful than we think. A case of mind over matter. No other profession claims to have a block so why should we.

Ilana I do not either. I am always able to write, even if my mind is blocked :)

Suzy Davies Great to know, Lani! :))

Ronald J Schulz Agree! Sometimes we need to ruminate on the story. Things fall into place or we need another story.

Suzy Davies Yes! The first idea isn't always our best. I like to sleep on it, go for a walk. Any movement seems to get my mind ticking :)

Richard Barr Oh, just keep writing. I find that even if I have no inspiration at all the very active writing get something going in my brain and ideas begin to flow. I also find that sometimes things that I thought was crap the night before miraculously improved when I read them the following day!

Suzy Davies Yes, leaving things on the back burner is an excellent strategy even if it's just overnight.

Helen Scheuerer I really appreciate your perspective on writer’s block, Suzy. That reminder to write for the joy of it truly resonates. It’s easy to forget that when we get caught up in deadlines or expectations. I’d love to connect as a fellow author and share ideas, your approach to creativity is inspiring!
