Rebecca I love your historical fictional novels...Do you plan to write more books in this genre? And if so what person in history would you write about?

Helen Hollick Hello Rebecca, thanks for the nice comment :-) I want to finish the fifth Sea Witch Voyage (On The Account) and get the sixth under way. I have also been commissioned to write a non-fiction pirate book. After that I would like to write a spin-off series from my Arthurian Trilogy: that will be 'straight' historical fiction set in 5th century Britain. It will be the Madoc the Horseman series.

Rebecca Oh I loved your Pendragon series and I kept them! Also your book on Harold, what an amazing man(I didn't know much about him before I read your book)and I have read Queen Emma, another person I knew very little about.....I will look forward to Madoc series. Good luck and good writing!

Helen Hollick I also have my Sea Witch Voyages, although they contain a bit of fantasy as well - If you liked the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie you'd enjoy these - but I'm aware not everyone likes fantasy.

Rebecca Well I am an admitted ASOIF fan and an avid watcher of Game of Thrones, so I'll check those books out. Thanks Helen.

Helen Hollick :-)

Rebecca I can only hope that in your pirate books there is no 'red wedding' and that perhaps the heroes live a long and merry life? LOL

message 8: by Helen (new)

Helen Hollick No red wedding! (well not yet LOL) My main character is Captain Jesamiah Acorne and his "woman" Tiola - who is a midwife, healer and white witch. tag line is "Trouble follows Jesamiah Acorne like a ship's wake" - You know Jesamiah is going to survive whatever is thrown at him - the intrigue is how he gets out of trouble! I describe the books as a cross between Hornblower, Pirates of the Caribbean, James Bond, Sharpe and Indiana Jones :-)
