Thank you for your reply, a really great read! I think having the memories of Sarah based on the memories of your mother is a wonderful example of art imitating life. Sometimes readers forget that the greatest of tales come from the incredible stories and memories of very real people. Yours and Margaret's advice for finding your own truth is very helpful and I'm positive could help many readers of Rosie's Umbrella.
