Lea Beall I'm like you in that respect. I watch people and animals and try to imagine what might be happening in their minds and new ideas come to me. I walk in the woods behind our place though. I always carry a notebook or at least a pencil and paper.

Mark Saha I should carry a notebook. I used to, but found myself constantly stopping to write in it. I bought an inexpensive recorder like my friend has, and intend to try to learn to use it. It is digital with "files" so you can retrieve information more easily. But yes, we're a lot alike. This is a very important preparation for writing for me, especially for starting a new project.

Russell Bittner Good advice here, Mark!

Anna Faversham I have an old mobile that records and I take it with me on long walks by the sea. Often when I play it back, my voice comes and goes but the wind sounds wonderful and the breakers on the sea, so rhythmic...

Still seems to inspire and resolve though.
