I love that area. We stayed at the Weathervane years ago when I was trying to make a difficult job decision. I knew you had to have links to the area because it is so perfectly evoked!
Do you know that your book can be nominated for a Michigan Notable Book of the Year? Has to be Michigan author or majorly set in Michigan and is a project of the Library of Michigan.
Hi Ann, no, I did not know this. Thank you for telling me. Is this something that my publisher should propose the book for?
I know this is fiction, but did you know any Tretheway's in Michigan or Canada? I just purchased this book as I am from MI and my family (Tretheway's) are from Canada and Northern MI.
Hi Sue, what an interesting coincidence! I'm not aware of any Tretheways in Michigan-- but for a while, I had neighbors in California named the Tretheways. That where I got the idea for the name.

Here's the link or you can just google "Library of Michigan Notable Books".
