I see a big Ginger Tom with lots of swagger and disdain...a physical personification of some of Val's less pleasant characteristics!
Kittens! In my mind, Val has a hidden passion for rescuing abandoned kittens. He keeps them in a secret room where he visits often to frolic with his fur-babies, cat hair be damned!
