My pleasure! So much mystery. So many questions. Emperor Guangwu bestowed this gold seal on an envoy from Japan. Who was the envoy? There was an embassy in Hakata. How did the seal eventually end up on Shikano Island (in Hakata Bay)? Jinbei was the name of the farmer who found it over 1,700 years later. What kind of man was he? Where are the women in this tale of China and Japan? If anybody could, you would certainly be able to craft a story of cultures in contact through the centuries, of intriguing characters on either side of the Tsushima Strait (Sea of Japan).
