Jared Have you ever made your own Cracker Jacks??

Deb yes! food rules ... make your own

Mike Moskos Have to try that. In my opinion, the best popcorn is made with coconut oil and sea salt; you probably won't need any butter, but if you do, made from raw (unpastuerized) cream is best. When my family first came to this country, they sold popcorn from a cart in Saratoga Springs, so I'm an aficionado. My Amish farmer makes a nut comb mixed with butter and some maple syrup; hard to not eat the whole bag right away.

Jordan Wish I knew of a gas station minimart that had Cracker Jacks...that's waaaaaay more healthy than anything I've seen more recently

Mary Yum! Cracker jacks ROCK. Popcorn, peanuts, pretty healthy until you add whatever sweetener they use these days.

Lisa West When I see them, which is more rare nowadays, I always get the animal crackers that come in that little circus box. It's a nostalgia thing.

Lauren Fiddle Faddle!

Janet Poveromo I thought for sure he would say Twinkies.

message 9: by Becca (new)

Becca I agree Michael. The prizes are terrible now. Remember the tiny pinball games or marble mazes?

Merrilee J. Gardner Never had Cracker Jacks as a kid but I you sure the reason the prizes are lame is because you're older?

message 11: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer Kroon I always wanted the mini magnifying glasses! They did get cheap/lame -- little paper puzzles as I got older :(

message 12: by Bill (new)

Bill Fergusson I first ate Cracker Jacks 73 years ago. They came in a box and always had a "toy". Great memory.

Flyingchina I don't like peanuts, but I do like them in Cracker Jacks, but they've gotten practically nonexistent. I agree about the lame prizes.

Ann Venables "candy coated popcorn, peanuts and a prize," sing along with me.
