My library didn't have the first book, but I requested for it to be ordered. So now I'm dancing on my toes for it to come it. I'm so impatient!
Noooo, you have to watch the relationships grow.
I did not start with the first book, and I was not lost. I would encourage you to read all of them, though, since they are so good, but Victoria does a great job of giving you enough information to follow along without spoiling things in case you wish to read others in the series.
