Ooh! I would sell my soul to see more of those sweet moments like how he was with Flora, just all the marshmallow fluff and praise possible, so my top pick would be anyone that is kind to him (I guess I was wrong when I said I’d be into any partner because it would crush me to see Bevan hook up with a high-ranking jerk that looks down her nose at him, even if only in the beginning).
Maybe there’s a half-feral female out there who is immediately obsessed with him, and he has to help her assimilate to pack ways (oh, the irony of him teaching someone manners); he’d then get to be his ultra protective and loyal self for someone who is equally willing to do the same for him. I see opportunities for his humor to shine in that too because it would take some really outlandish behavior to top his shenanigans and fluster him (which would be freaking adorable). I also thought at one point back in Heir Apparent that he might end up having a human mate, but I have no idea how that would even work. My last thought might be someone from First Pack or maybe one of Wrenlee’s sisters (I forget how old they are though, so maybe not).
You considering any of these ideas would be a total honor. 🫶

I just realized that those suggestions leave less room for the conflict and tension that you’re so good at cultivating, but I’m sure you’d find a way to break my heart in the best way possible. 🤗

Yeah, I really want Bevan to have a story. Maybe someone from North Border, since the women there have a lot of rules that would make them kinda stuffy but without the snobbery of Moon Lake that would make the relationship too antagonistic.

Alternatively, a very dominant, no-nonsense chick that drives him up the wall because he's desperate to impress her and she just isn't putting up with his antics. I don't want someone mean to him, just someone that either he needs to pull out of their head, or someone that makes him wanna be less flighty. Or a bit of both. The whole thing about him eventually going wolf.. He needs someone who won't allow it.

I’m picking up what you’re laying down! I hadn’t thought about a North Border rule-follower (not sure if Wrenlee’s sister would qualify), but that could work, especially if it meant we also got to see an uprising against Fireside. I would really like to know what’s going on with Amir as well, but that’s a whole other story.

And you bring up a good point about Bevan not going full wolf. I guess a mate who is losing touch with her human side even more than him may not be the best fit, but then again, maybe that could be the conflict in their relationship: will he risk sacrificing his humanity (and I suppose her safety as well) to be with her?…

I might just have to turn some of this into fanfic if you’re not into it, CCW!
