Oh, there will be dramatization - I promise you that.
I've practiced all the voices and have done dry-run test recordings to get my wife's approval.
Hardest voice to find was Dutch, followed by Ethan.
The problem with Ethan is that he is totally devoid of emotion or inflection, which, even when he's calm, is disturbing (exactly what I wanted).
Johnny vs Ghost was surprisingly easy.
The performance of Harrison is very difficult, because you want someone who is authoritative, calm, devastated, in command, open to outside opinions, but then is barely containing his rage when Jasmine makes her "request."
Gabriella vs. Dr. Richardson is a hell of a chapter to listen to. In the book, it's not entirely clear if Gaby is lying to Richardson, but in the recording...well - don't want to give away Gaby's arc in book 2.

I'll be looking forward to the sequel. Great work/art takes time.
On audiobooks: if you can, do a dramatized version with different voices cast and some sound effects. I've listened to a lot of audiobooks and have heard some dramatized versions that are great, but more $$ to produce, of course. Virtual Voice has gotten better...
