Camilla Cruz I developed a love for the classics as a tween. I read some pretty big books when I was 12 and 13. You are right. It does expand vocabulary, dialogue, and writing. It's amazing how well written books, with detail and history and interesting things can educate at the same time it is read. Love it.

Brent King Well, at least you got a degree in college. I should have ended up with a degree in music, but it was not to be...

That means I studied a lot of music in college (and a lot of theology), but not too much lit...

Ashlee Willis Camilla, yeah, I read some hefty books as a junior higher, too. I was reading Vanity Fair, Crime and Punishment, Middlemarch, etc. at 12 and 13 ... to our small-town librarians' amazement :) Sometimes they were a bit of a struggle to get through, but I loved them even more for that, I think!
