I am also a descendant of Constance Hopkins and Nicholas Snow. Just discovered the connection this year while researching my father's family. Looking forward to reading your books. I am also interested in your sources.
Hi Kathy! I am glad to know you!
My research on my family genealogy began over thirty years ago...in those days we had no computers or internet so I did my research by writing letters to all the government offices, churches, cemeteries and of course family members. My mother once owned a copy of Saints and Strangers which gave me my first clues about the Snow family. Then I questioned most of the older generation in my family, spent many hours in the Mormon library and wrote notes over the years. By that time I had compiled all the statistics and decided I should write the stories. When the internet began to give me more information, specifically Ancestry.com and I could verify my data I began the series with The Snows of Somerset County. Most of the characters are from actual history as are the dates and places and events except where there was a piece missing and I had to add a little to let the story flow. The second book Blood and Cobblestones followed the Snow family to London and their adventures at Tudor court. With Book Three Pilgrim Girl I had much more information to work with and the story is as close to the actual events as I could piece together. Our grandparents were very interesting characters to be sure! I am currently working on Book Four Escaping the Yoke, that brings them into the period up to and including the Revolutionary War. I would be happy to answer any of your questions! Thank you for asking!
