Erin’s answer to “Do you create sockpuppets (or pay some other site to create them) in order to bestow 5-star ratings…” > Likes and Comments

I don't think she answered the question.
No, Erin does not create sock puppets, but I do know her. I appreciate your concern with this and from an NPS point of view, I realize the value of realistic results, these adds are not inspired by her own efforts or self-promotion. I do know Erin, and perhaps over-exuberantly embarked on a Listopia campaign, and yes, I did rate her book 5 stars (I do truly enjoy it though,) as did a couple of her friends. I realize I cannot convince anyone digitally as to whether or not these people are real or whether or how this involved, or did not involve her.
I can offer two things: a) I can revoke my 5 star rating. b) I can attempt to validate my identity as a distinct individual through some other medium.
I apologize for how this appears. As she's a self-published author, it is difficult to build awareness of the author or author's works, and I zealously wanted to help increase her exposure.
That said, I don't want MY actions to harm Erin's potential growth, so please let me know if you'd like me to trim some of the "fat" I've added, or would like some validation of my identity as a distinct individual (i.e., a video message).
