This answer related to my first novel. My more recent Westerns came to me one night when I could not get to sleep. By the time I did fall asleep I had the story fully worked out in my mind. I typed up the skeleton of it that weekend, only to discover that it was only the first of five stories. The first two have now been published and I am well on the way to publishing the third one.
