Like you list of authors, I've read everyone except , David Drake i'm sure to try that as soon as i can find an audiobook by him. Thanks I'm 67 started reading scifi when i was 14 and have stopped. I remember those old stories and even Andre Norton which now I can't read anymore. Give me military Scifi and I'm happy. I'll read any Scifi but prefer to read the military stuff.

Stephen Bennett I read Norton, but her stories were more metaphysical than for my tastes, but I didn't miss any of them when I was younger. Her Beast Master books influenced me on Koban, because I wanted a way for rippers and humans to learn how to get along. My hard science leanings refused to use her form of telepathy, but physical contact (possible because of the unrelated superconducting nerves I’d introduced) made that a concept I could use, to allow them to communicate without language at first. It was a neat solution that I suddenly saw as a possibility (and was not in my original outline).

Thanks for reply. All your thoughts and ideas have worked quite well in the koban series. I too have a love of science, the more plausible the better. That's why i think i gravitated to military scifi genre a while back. I'm reading Evan Currie at the moment, don't know if you have heard of him. I wait eagerly for the next koban book. Thanks, for your koban series that holds me tightly in its grips.
