I just finished Around and About, where the Count finished decorating his second" suite" and is cracking open Anna Karenina again. "Behind every door there's a door, behind every room, there's another room." What fun!
Favorite prescient moment thus far is the barbershop scene. I knew why the man was turning red and knew the Count was not "getting" it. When I visited St. Petersburg years ago and saw the palaces (gorgeous ice cream colors with white trim and gold cupolas all over the place) I remember thinking 'No wonder the peasants revolted...''
