We will be near Penzance and visit hamlets between there and St Ives. Don't know if we'll get to Tintagel, but if there is a bus going there, perhaps. We're renting bicycles whilst there and will use public transport to get about. Do I SOUND British??? Taking the camera to document the trip since this is a once in a lifetime trip. Hey, Baker's Blues arrived today! It will be my 'read on the plane' book! Glad you got to see Cornwall, too. Quite magical!
We went to Penzance and St. Ives. and Mousehole...loved that place. Stayed at Jean Shrimpton's B & B in Land's End. Your trip makes me want to dig out all my old SLIDES...this was long before the age of digital photos...
Jean Shrimpton? I SO remember her! We'll be in all those towns. Hmmm, wonder if she still has her B&B? I'm ready for Pasties and Clotted Cream on scones! :)
She was amazingly beautiful...all six feet whatever. Wearing jeans and an old sweater. No makeup except her lovely smile. I hope you'll be posting trip photos on FB...I'll be looking for them!
