M.J. Payne My second book is a work in progress. The first book is so "compelling and unforgettable" as one courageous writer described it that I have tried to pull back a bit and write a book that is a hybrid of romance, uses adult characters, and has the spice of the erotic meshed with the reality of how people overcome abuse. Parts of it are very loving and soak deep into the soul of the characters and parts are about how people become abusers. It is a fast read in that the complexity does not slow the reader. I am concerned about how people who have been deeply hurt try or cannot try to develop the ability to engage lovers who insist on emotional connection and how this happens. I don't think that being a child's rights advocate should make sex a bad thing for consenting adults regardless of their desires. Life is made to live. I say live it to the fullest and that is what "Fulcrum of Desire" is about. A lot of the manuscript is completed but i have much more to do. Thank you for your question. Sex is not something that can be put into a box. It is the beginning of life and can be a comfort and an erotic thrill that no one wants to miss.

M.J. Payne My website is filled with news stories that support my first book and I used the news stories to create the plot of "Fulcrum of Desire". Everything in my book can be supported by the news stories I have researched for my website www.buytherememberedself.com
Sometimes I put my head down on the computer and cry because the stories are so like what I have written. You have to realize that is not an unusual experience for someone like me. However the stories of these children need to be told. If you are upset by graphic stories, I would suggest the second book. Still, I wonder why people love horror when there is so much of it around. I guess because it is safe and interesting. Please don't push me away because I wrote about a common problem in novel form.
