Your desire to have everyone love YOUR love is something we can all relate to and hiding their bad habits or less than desirable traits is something we all do. However, I think one of the hardest scars left from domestic abuse is the betrayal of your love for them.
I so agree that the situation is rarely as simple as a big bad guy and innocent victim, which makes it such a sensitive subject to write about. The word cathartic is often used when writing of a painful personal subject and I hope that maybe this book might be cathartic for you.
