Just finished Book 2! (and purchased book 3) Thanks for answering, I love being able to converse with authors of the books I enjoy so much. :)
Thanks for getting back to me; after I replied, I realized that I'd actually spent 9 months on the initial writing. It was a while ago now. . . my only excuse for the inaccuracy. :) And thank you for reading!
Haha no problem. I usually get on goodreads to update my shelf after finishing a book. And no worries, I'm a Robert Jordan, Brandon Sanderson, and Patrick Rothfuss fan, I KNOW how to stick around for the next book (though hopefully you wont make us wait QUITE as long as some of those ;)). Either way, I cannot wait. Thanks for writing such interesting books!
I have two of the prequels written, working on the third. Writing those has shifted some of the work I've already done on Book IV of Edda, maturing some ideas and altering others. It's better to do it this way, than to retcon, though, right? ;) And I like having something *done* before sending it out into the world. I posted my old Spirit of Redemption fanfic (1.5 million words, yes, I know. . . ) one chapter at a time, and had to weave my retcons in as character development. ;) Which was a learning process in front of a big audience, hah!
I have a series of written down dreams, notes, outlines, etc. but nothing I can formally call a story yet. I'll look forward to the prequels :)
