Carolynn (Molly.Groot) Evans EVERYONE needs to understand the value of a good hooky day once in a while. Even as a parent, I allow my kids 1 a quarter (much to some other kids/parents/teachers' annoyance... but i believe "kids" are just small people- they ARE people too, with the same needs we adults have. they need a break too.) I have used hooky days for any number of things, but my youngest, now 15 and creating a very story-based video game uses his hooky days just for writing and creating now. I love that this was your first impulse advice. :)
