Thanks for the response to my response and your kind words! I finally have some time to answer some of these now. Being a grandpa altered my perspective on life. My ultimate goal is to leave a lasting legacy of imagination trumps statewide testing for my grandsons. They are already both so creative--my oldest is five, and he already tells wonderful stories about his brother and him. LOL I realize I need to update some of these answers now because I am currently researching for my new stand-alone novel and taking notes on a graphic novel I am writing with a former student, who will be doing the artwork. About the only thing I can draw is water from the tap. Once again, I appreciate you taking the time to write. Have a blessed week!

Your classroom sounds like so much fun! And it appears that you have had great success with what is probably one of the most difficult aspects of teaching, and has been since the beginning of time...the ability to get your students to "engage." My most memorable teachers, the ones who had the most impact on MY life, had this God-given talent and were able to use it to everyone's benefit. I'll just bet you're a really "FUN GRANDPA" too! :-) Blessings to you, Rhonda
