I'm curious, are you familiar with pet play erotica? Your book arguably falls into this genre even though your story only alludes to sex between "pets" and their owners.
I'm not, Tina. But my imagination is filling in a lot of blanks :) Because this book was written for a YA audience, I did try to keep the allusions to sex a bit subtle (although they ARE there...)
No question. There are a ton of references to sex...though I must confess, I found it rather strange how little sex there was (not necessarily sex scenes, just the concept itself). I had a hard time imagining a world where beautiful girls could be bought or sold but sex wouldn't be an issue. I did enjoy your writing style though.
