For me it depends on whether or not they fit the description in the book. Either way, it can't be changed.
Agreed. The publisher usually picks the cover art. I have to say, in my opinion they got it perfect with Triana on Comet's Curse, and Bon on Web of Titan. It's exactly how I pictured them.
