Kristian Higgins is one of my favorite romance authors and all her love scenes are considered "closed door." Highly recommended! And Erin's books of course :)
Oh, ok, thanks so much to both of you! I certainly look forward to read your books, Ms. Knightley. I love romances, but I hate when they go against my principles and have graphic love scenes, like that wasn't necessary at all. I read thousands of reviews only to make sure the books are clean, and in historical romance, you are the only one who came out winner from the search.
I'm not having the time to read lately, as I am with so many things to do, but once I get my winter break, I'll try to catch up with all the books calling at me (I'm from Argentina and it is cold down here, I thought I needed to clarify it, LOL!)
I haven't read Kristan Higgins all the way through yet (I recently started one though!), but she is a fabulous person, and so funny. Thanks for the suggestion, Stephanie! And I know what you mean, Cintia. I've always skipped the sex scenes, so when I started writing my own books, I naturally left them out. There are all different heat levels out there for all different kinds of readers, but the trick is finding the ones that are right for you!
Hi Cintia, check out the list of the 2016 Swoony Awards. They are all clean romance novels. https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/9...
Hi everyone! Thanks for your recommendations! I just created this list, and you can put everything that comes to your mind, as far as it is clean, here: https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/1...
I have a shelf called "clean secular romance" that is close to 800 titles, so there are plenty of clean non-religious romance fiction. I also second Melanie Stanford on you checking out the 2016 Swoony Awards listopia and past years Swoony Award nominees and winners for clean secular romance titles, though an inspirational title vote slips past the judges sometimes. There are also plenty of Goodreads groups for fans of clean secular romance and authors of the genre. Also after a lot of customer lobbying Amazon has when you click ,"Books" or "Kindle Books", after clicking the genre "romance" one of the Amazon romance sub genres to click on is "clean and wholesome". Clean in that sub-genre can be kisses only to all the way to sex that has no details that happens off page/off screen (also known as fade to black). Harlequin Romance publishers even has a secular clean and wholesome line called "Harlequin Heartwarming". Clean, but not inspirational romance has become very profitable in the industry with many best-selling authors in the genre. I am a Christian and even the wife of an ecclesiastical leader, but read mostly clean secular romance.
