Denise Monahan Thanks Nicola for the reply. I love the 'learn to question things for themselves' bit. It is something I have been thinking a lot about recently, in relation to our educational system. I think we need to work hard, as adults, on the critical thinking skills we require of our young people.

I think your passion for detailed research comes across vividly in your books, and it is easy to visualise the places you create. This is a skill you have in buckets.

I agree, it is important that the story presents more than a story...isn't the that point of a good book! A book that stays with you long after the last page is a hit as far as I am concerned.

Nicola Pierce Thanks Denise - you make my reply look a whole lot better!! And I completely agree with your definition of a great book - I can only hope that each book I write is an improvement on the former!
