Hey Rhys, This is funny, I didn't realize this was a pseudonym, but I did think that you must have a hard time with explaing to people in California how to spell and pronounce it properly. And as a comment to John's question: I have noticed that when an author becomes successfull under a second or third pseudonym, books from ages ago will suddenly pop up being advertised as "from the author of" "writing as". So they are guarding their fences until they smell money, which is fair. Book publishing isn't a social service. I usually dip into what else this author I really, really like has written before under a different name if the genre appeals to me ("known for her steamy historic novels" won't do it in my case) and I will then decide whether or not to put another name on my reading list. And finally: When you don't strive for stardom, but for satisfaction and success in what you're doing, it might be usefull sometimes to not use your given name. Wouldn't you agree, John?
