Marc Jones Many thanks for the response
I had heard there was a HUGE extinction level event you were working on and based on internet rumours I pieced it together.....but offically I guess It a case of "i cannot say".
Maybe one day Blood Dragon will see the light in some shape or form. The First third seems pretty much epic, even if the remaining to thirds was Abhorash drinking tea and listening to country rock It would still have been more epic than most other titles in the range.
Needless say your secret project will be bumped to the top of my "Must read shelf" and thanks for everything you do that keeps the warhammer world fresh and interesting.

DarkChaplain Is there any chance that it'll find its way back onto the schedule, after current projects are taken care of?

I mean, that first third of Blood Dragon sounds AWESOME! It'd be a damn shame to not realize all of that and more. Maybe not necessarily as a full novel (at least not right off the bat), but as a collection of three novellas, like they did with Overfiend? Maybe the promise of more direct ebook sales before the paperback release would convince them...

Yeah, I'm kinda desperate.

Joshua Marc,

Pretty much. I can neither confirm nor deny that such a book exists until after BL announce it. I can't talk about it, or acknowledge it, when others talk about it.

And the next two thirds would have seen Abhorash, his Hand, Morath and the surviving Strigoi vampires hunting down the orcs in order to rescue the captives the orcs took from among the human population of the city; Morath getting hold of the crown, Abhorash meeting Giles le Breton and Sigmar; a fight with Arkhan the Black; a confrontation with Nagash; a fight with Vlad von Carstein and Mannfred von Carstein; and, finally, a fight with a dragon.

Darkchaplain,

Not really, no, for reasons which will become obvious at a future date, but which I cannot go into detail about.

It's a shame, but, barring a miracle, the book has had a stake put through its heart and its ashes spread.

Marc Jones To many levels of epic !!!

Just throwing this out there
"I have beer and pizza and like being told stories"
thats not a bribe

DarkChaplain I was hoping for the Giles le Breton bit, really. Would you have shed light on the Red Duke's origin as well? The novel hinted at his father being Abhorash, if I remember correctly, but I'd have liked something more solid.

Missing out on what looks like a damn awesome story about very, very exciting events of legend, is putting a stake through MY heart. I just hope that anything you might have had written already prior to cancellation was or can be put to use in other ways, or be repackaged to break out of the viscious cycle of Digital "Power Armour" Mondays...

But I guess my September will be quite a bit more exciting thanks to you, Josh!

Joshua Marc,

You ever see me at a BL event, feel free to buy me a beer and I'll tell you as many stories as you like.

Darkchaplain,

I hadn't written anything. The novel was never commissioned, so it didn't get past the planning stages. I lost neither time nor money, so, from a professional standpoint, it's not that big a deal.

Marc Jones So now that its officially out there let me say
"If anyone was gonna bring an extinction level event to warhammer I'm glad its Josh"
I have Nagash pre-ordered and its ready to jump to the top of my To read list.
