Karen has both, and I have WbF, so we're going to try reading it as a standalone, and reading it as a prequel, both. :)
Oh, good. WbF is not really a romance, exactly. PoF is more of one, but this is me we're talking about, and I don't do well with just romance, LOL.
If you like it, when you're done, I can still send you the other one. :)
I don't generally like reading in reverse time order. If I read the prequel first (WbF), would that work in reverse for giving a deeper context to the present day book (PbF)?
There doesn't seem to be a consensus among readers which order they prefer, so I say go ahead and read them chronologically (WbF and then PoF). Most people have said it stands on its own just fine, and there really aren't spoilers for PoF in it (other than that the MCs in that one get together in the end...which I think is kind of expected!). :)
