Watching the first couple seasons of Once Upon a Time is fabulous for getting Rumplestiltskin ideas... I always loved how flawed all the characters were, but wished there were more redemptive elements (which Once Upon a Time explores before going off rails.) what leads to such brokenness & pettiness.. What decision needed a Godly nudge... What sort or parents would inspire someone so tragic to connive to liberate them of their children or vice versa... (Something explored by Repunzel, as well.) What sort of ramifications are there to allowing yourself to "play" at being G-d in your own life and that of others... Most important of all: what becomes of the children????
