I like that strategy as well. By rereading what I've written the day before, I kick start the process and seem to be able to carry on.
I don't believe in writer's block. Procrastination can keep me from writing, so I admit it and snap myself out of it. A crisis can keep me from writing--self-care is important. But it's usually something I've done wrong that I have to go back and fix that frees me to go forward. A daily word goal is how I work too.
