Siona Robertson I've had a look at a website called castingsevenwaters.com, it may give you some more inspiration, it's a fan-based website with a list of most of Juliet's novels with a kind of voting system on who the fans would like to see portraying the characters. It seems pretty comprehensive.

Siona Robertson I'm definitely waiting to see someone bring Juliet's novels to the big screen, I can't seem to understand why it hasn't happened yet.

Kirsten Allison I agree Siona, still pursuing the same goal, I know but it's going to be tough but I'm still going to do my best and never give up. First year of my Screen and Media degree nearly gone. Got great marks for first few short films made. I know it's not much but its a beginning. I have never wanted to do anything as much as I do this. I really hope nobody else has the same idea before I can get the rights haha. As soon as this degree is done I'm going to get another degree and start my own video production crew. I know I can do it.

Siona Robertson I have every confidence in you as you seem to be a very passionate and driven person to acheive your goal. and I wouldn't mind seeing a live action version of the Shadowfell books, I think the story really lends itself to the big screen

Kirsten Allison Thank you so much for your support, it really means so much. It is difficult to aim so high when even most of your family doubt you. But I think with enough effort, anything is possible. I love Shadowfell, I hope to make it into a film worthy of Juliet's masterpieces. I want them all to be shared with the world.

Siona Robertson The website I mentioned in a previous post, doesn't have Shadowfell listed yet, which is a bit of a disappointment, ave you had a chance to look it up?
In terms of actors for chacters I'm tossing up between Theo James and Tom Hiddleston (it would be a departure from the usual roles he plays) in the role of Flint lol!!!

message 7: by Kirsten (new)

Kirsten Allison I agree he would suit both those. I think Travis Fimmel would also suit. What do you think?

message 8: by Siona (new)

Siona Robertson Not sure, I'm not at all familiar with Travis Fimmel's work, I can definately see Tim Curry as the Villainous Queen's Councillor Brydian, though, he just exudes Subtefuge lol!!!

message 9: by Kirsten (new)

Kirsten Allison Haha totally agree!! He's an excellent actor

message 10: by Siona (new)

Siona Robertson I can see Tali being portrayed by Kiera Knightly. Neryn's a difficult character to picture, but I'm thinking someone along the lines of Georgie Henley, and perhaps Tilda Swinton as Queen Varda

message 11: by Kirsten (new)

Kirsten Allison Maybe Amanda Seyfried as Neryn? Have you read others of juliet's?

message 12: by Siona (new)

Siona Robertson I've read all of Juliet's Books, I have one row on my bookshelf with just Juliet Marillier books

message 13: by Kirsten (new)

Kirsten Allison Really? That makes me really happy! I'm going to do the same asap. I would have earlier but I'm only 19 and have only just started getting my own money. Might request them for Christmas haha.

message 14: by Siona (new)

Siona Robertson in fact I'm re-reading The Dark Mirror now, I loved the Sevenwaters Trilogies (1 and 2) and Heart's Blood was an interesting take on the Beauty and the Beast fairytale, it's one of my favourites, though I have to admit I've not had the pleasure of reading Prickle Moon or Twixt Firelight and water as yet.

message 15: by Kirsten (new)

Kirsten Allison Yeah I haven't either, can't seem to find them in the libraries.

message 16: by Siona (new)

Siona Robertson You might be able to get them through Amazon, I haven't seen them in the bookshops either.

message 17: by Kirsten (new)

Kirsten Allison Yeah I think I will. Summer is coming up so I have a break from university, I'll be spending it wisely!

message 18: by Siona (new)

Siona Robertson I wish I had the time, but with 2 young kids...lol!!! my ideal relaxation time is a bubble bath, a glass of wine and a good book, usually one of Juliet's.

message 19: by Kirsten (new)

Kirsten Allison I hope you have lots of fun either way! Sounds like a really good time tbh

message 20: by Siona (new)

Siona Robertson Well I better get back the the good ol griding stone, nice chatting and I really hope your studies continue to go well.
