Annie, an author I really enjoy is Chautona Havig and she recently posted something on her blog that was very helpful: http://www.bakerpublishinggroup.com/b... This chart gives a comparison of authors.
I loved Lisa Tawn Bergren's River of Time series. She has a new one in California now too, but I haven't read that one yet. Jill Williamson's Blood of Kings series in really good as well. If you like the fairy tale themes Jenni James has a slew of them. I hope that helps a little!

These are some authors I love that are not necessarily Christian, but the authors very well could be. I love Kasie West, Gail Carson Levine, Marissa Meyer, Heather Dixon, Dandi Daley Mackall, Annette K. Larson, and Jessica Day George. Also, I've only read one of her books, but Ruta Sepetys is amazing.
And, as a Christian bookworm who has spent hours finding clean reading, I've learned to appreciate the Middle Grade genre so here are a few of those. Shannon Messenger's Keeper sereis, Tahereh Mafi (just Furthermore, not her YA), Rick Riordan (definitely not Christian based but I have always been interested in Mythology), Roald Dahl, E.D. Baker, Kate Messner, and Wendy Mass (mainly A Mango Shaped Space and her Twice Upon a Time Series).
