Thanks Charles. Great answers much appreciated. Yes a tribute collection would be perfect and respectful, Here's hoping. Cant wait to get my hands on Empire Games later this week and Ghost Engine sounds amazing count me in. Please keep writing and experimenting your work is brilliant.
Great answer. Iain M. Banks is impossible to replace. Glad he was influential to you as well, and I will gladly purchase Ghost Engine when it comes out.
You are also a marvelous and subtle literary novelist, so, I have no doubts I will enjoy it, and hope it gives birth to a series.
Wow, this is so wonderful to hear. Your take on space opera is really wonderful (thinking of Neptune's Brood especially). Also, I like your "longest answer" about Iain. It's sad that he's gone, but it seems better to be inspired by him than to try and resurrect him from the dead. Zombies never seem to be as nice and lovable as their living predecessors.
